Media is about to change completely:
It's time for a whole new type of producer
Depending on who you ask, the internet has either killed traditional media or reinvented it. There's a glut of information,
half of it's untrue, anyone can publish anything and nothing is private. It's a scary environment for media and an overwhelming one for brands. However, it's also
reinvigorating readers, revolutionizing the way information is shared and changing how people relate to brands.
Media and businesses need staff who can utilize all that the internet has to offer.
Somewhere between developers and reporters lie web producers:
a new field for a new era. As a web producer and multimedia journalist, I have all the traditional
media skills, but am also trained in technical applications such as podcasting,
blogging, social media, mobile and coding.
I'm excited to be a producer in the age of the industry's reinvention,
and I'm always seeking roles where I can combine my creativity,
curiosity and technical knowledge.
